Family.

I am a stranger here.
I never fitted in
More comfortable with little ones
And reaching their souls within.

Can I a stranger be
When I have family?
So many loved ones, young and old;
A growing family tree.

I’m passing through this world
A matriarch of sorts
To set an example of a God-filled life
And my family to exhort.

My rich inheritance
Of family I dearly love
My prayer is just that they should all
Yield their lives to God above.

So I’m not a stranger now
But a pilgrim passing through
Leaving growing numbers of offspring
That I yield up to You.

Please bless my family, Lord
And take them for Your own
And I will still be praying for them
When I stand before Your throne.
